Door mirror options 73 Dart

Hi folks,
Are there any realistically priced door mirror options for a 73 Dart ?
Mine only has the drivers mirror and ideally would like one on the passenger side as well. I bought a pair of chrome bullet style mirrors, and they must be off a Fiat 126..... If I were to fit them, I would have to go virtually horizontal to see owt.
My old 71 Satellite if memory serves. I bought a pair of Camaro gen 2 mirrors. But, the profile on a Dart's doors is different, so they'd be no good. Also they have gone sky high.....

I have no simple answer for your here.

I have the same issue on the 'Cuda.

You can take pot luck and trial and error with "universal" mirrors, but it is a gamble due to door profiles and how the mirrors site, etc and how it impacts on view..

I bit the bullet and bought the reassuringly expensive correct ones from the "States.

They arrived quickly and fitted in about 30 minutes. They look correct and they work.

Cheers Pete,
I may go down that route if I have to. With the pound on its backside against the dollar and the ever increasing shipping costs, it's becoming prohibitive.

I fully understand.

I did cry a bit when it hit "Buy it now", but I reasoned that I would rather do it once and do it right - especially if you have to drill holes in your pride and joy in a very visible place....

Original or repro door mirrors are expensive, have been for years. There are universal chromed plastic ones that used to be cheap, they are around £50 a pair these days when you can find them, that’s what I use.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272931505088 for instance.

Cheers for that. The ebay link shows other options close to the originals if slightly smaller.

see if an Australian one matches
their drivers door is your passenger door

or a full set... even if different, the mount for a Abody car is probably the same, and they will be of an appropriate style, look at VH VJ VK Valiant Mirrors.

passenger door mirrors are always expensive, but not as expensive and the blanking plate that would fit the pre drilled holes on some cars:) .

the last passenger door mirror i saw for my car was $800, dealer fitment and often slightly further back then the drivers side, to make it useful, on my car at least depends on if you have full glass or 1/4 vent.

You could go off-brand but I suspect the costs would be about the same plus you'd still have the uncertainty of matching to the profile of your door.
