That's why I don't watch the news steve. I don't look at the news on the internet either. I'm not wasting my life worrying about nonsense.

I was a bit of a 'newsaholic' until I moved. I try to avoid it at all costs now as it really does depress me. I used to love coming back off holiday without any news for two weeks and feel great. Then someone would ask me if I heard about the plane crash, the terrorist attack, the Tsunami, the earthquake, the school shooting...blah blah how depressing. I'm now selfishly happy in my ignorance. :thumbright:

Back on topic, sorry. Lots of great car escapism on YouTube. I watch music stuff but end up going off at a tangent and discovering other stuff :)

Have subscribed to Samspace81 for last three years. He clocks up some miles every year bringing great coverage of shows across the states.Adirondak show and night cruises at Lake George in Upper NY State in September looks to be an amazing long weekend event.

I've seen a few videos of old guys telling the story of their first car. Some guy at 15 was driving around in a 1964 convertible stingray with his dog in the passenger seat. America was awesome back then.

Yeah, it always looks like a great place and time to have lived but guessing only if you had a decent job etc. There was (and still is) a lot of poverty there. At 15 in 1964 I bet he was drafted to Vietnam.... not something on his bucket list
