New member - Barracuda

Post by MoparMoose »

Hello, new member checking in!
I bought my '67 Barracuda a few months ago, mainly as a road/strip car.
It's had quite a life and is a total mongrel, complete with a '69 front end!
It is a genuine factory RHD which started out as a 273 in bronze.
It is now an orangey red (?) with a built 440 big block (apparently now 496) with a 727 box with a reverse pattern manual valve body.

I race in Outlaw Street, usually in a Mustang but this car feels like more fun!

The car has been on the race scene for a few years but I only have limited knowledge of its history.
If anyone has any info or old photo's I would be extremely grateful. Reg number is NYL9E.

Welcome :). Your car looks the business.

Regarding the front end never noticed the difference before. Learn something new every day.

Is there any difference between a 67 and 68?

The hood inserts are also different between ‘67 and ‘68 as is the badge placement on the wings. ‘67 has the horrible plastic lock strips on the front and rear screens rather than the usual polished trim. When you look at the many subtle differences between the 3 years your soon come to the conclusion’68 was the year they got it right.
