Radiator hose

Post by Mark B »

Does anyone know a supplier of radiator hoses please? I'm after an upper hose for a small block.

I was lucky enough to get a Top hose from John Woolfe Racing - in stock.

Try the usuals: US Automotive, Customville, and then Rock Auto.....

You may want to give me your part number Mark, I have a C Body radiator in my RR and had a hell of a job finding the right hoses for it,consequently I have a few random ones spare.

The hose arrived this morning and it's 1 1/2 inches shorter than the one I've removed. Once secured to the engine, there's a 1 1/2 inch distance to the radiator. It's pre shaped and has got a kink in it where it returns to the engine.

I've managed to force the hose on and it seems to be ok. Is it normal they're short? Do they stretch over time?

Thanks.

I had to cut mine down, but it is a Big Block Car; no, they don't stretch...

Ensure there is enough length with the engine moving on its mountings....

Only ever had to cut down, doesn’t sound like the right part to me.

Got it from Rock Auto, it's model specific and it's supposed to fit.
Cost £60 include postage.

I’d check they’ve sent you the right part. Does it measure the same as quoted? That’s the same as I last ordered from them, for a 360 Challenger and I had to cut it down.

It was only $10 last I bought one and about $15 shipping for that and a bundle of other bits. Shows what has happened with shipping of late! :pale:

Random.

Maybe they built the 69 models with a 2” longer front. :D
