Some of you will have known Jason, he was around the Mopar scene for pretty much as long as there's been one, we were friends for 40 years. A larger than life character and a born entertainer sadly missed by many people.
His Captain Sunflower alter ego became the stuff of legend, he enriched the lives of so many in his 59 years. He hadn't been in the best of health for probably the last 5 years and sadly died on Friday morning. I saw him on Thursday and he was in good spirits having accepted what was coming and making the best of it as he always did.
He was a prop master for TV and film for many years, the TV detective series Grace was his last job, the producer told him there will be an onscreen dedication to him when it airs. There were so many laughs, tales and scrapes over the years, he was one in a million and I'll miss him greatly.

Very sad news Blue, the worst thing about getting older is losing close friends and loved ones. Condolences to you and to Jason’s family.

Nice words Blue, well written. They echo many who knew Jason. He'll be sadly missed.
Not seen him since last summer at Brighton, mid-treatment but seemed reasonably fit. He was just about to go and lay someone's patio.
Many a happy memory over the years.
One of the first times we met Jason I expect was at Hayling Island in 1985 the week we bought the Satellite.
Strip Frisbee, Ketchup fights, down in ones, defacing of Wimpey Homes signs. How we laughed.
oh yes, and then there was the Orgasmatron in his back garden...
RIP big man.

Yes typical on set prank, he did get into a bit of bother for riding his Harley naked around one of the sets….
