There would probably be none of the UK cars left if so many had not ended up left in garages for decades.

yeah although the main protagonist should not be running about, digging in peoples barns, one presumes he got the go ahead given the access he had, in this case over the 2 years since, there has been enough interest in that car to trigger somone, potentially the orginal owner to dig it out and clean it up, get it running.
i tried to contact the tresspasser. he was no help. all i found out was the property was in easy striking distance of london. i.e home counties
The car appeared on face book "aussie cars UK" about 3 months ago and appeard to be recieving some attention, driven into a yard, dust and grime removed....it was looking surprisingly good....
its potenentially a £50K car if restored and sold back to Australia.... the days of an aussie charger languishing in a shed are on their way out...

There is one in Shefford, mine.....and there is a Valiant Regal Wagon next to it.
