1962 Plymouth Belverdere

Post by rocket70 »

Hi, all. I used to the own the 73 challenger that was owned by mustangbooks, then I had a 68 fairlane which I sold anpprox 7yrs ango. Not had an American car since but have always liked the older fury’s, savoys, so when this one came up for sale on FB it really caught my eye. Had a nice chat with Gary the owner on the phone yesterday and it all seems great, so I’m jumping on the train from Woking on Thursday and heading up to Preston to have a look and do a deal Friday…I can’t wait.

I believe this used to belong to Pete Wiseman and was originally red, any other history of the car I would love to hear about.

Kind regards Bryan

Went and saw the car this morning and did a deal and bought it. Drove it back from Preston and the car didn’t miss a beat.

Plans for the car will be…. Try and get some of the interior back to standard, replace the gauges and tach for something period. Swap out the granny gears for some 3.55,s, get the rear exhausts turned down (facing down), Steel wheels, manual steering and manual brakes. Will look into getting a 440 built for it through the winter.
