Dungerness nucular power station photo shoot

Post by Derek »

A couple of month ago I was aked if I could take the Charger and caravan to Dungerness for a over night photo shoot, not wanting to disapoint I said yes, I've not been there for over 50 years, ( God I feel old saying that ) anyway we where put up overnight in a very expensive bungalow so that I could an eye on the car at night, I diidn't fancy leaving it in a hotel car park, I shoot myself in the foot there as all the crew stayed in a 5 star hotel with a underground car park, they had room service, spa, swimming pool and a resturant all paid for by the clothing company, we had no TV a cooker that took us over an hour to work out how to cook with it, no shower only a bath that was so big it took an hour to fill it, real nice place though.

The Dungerness nuclear power station consisting of two 250mw reactors where connected to the national grid in 1965 and reaced their end of life in 2006, you can still hear a hum at night.

The female model I was told got flown in from America and the male model was flown in from Canada, both I must say were very nice people and not at all what I thought they were going to be like, I can see why the clothes are so expensive.

Sorry some the pics aren't that good but I have had to take a pic of the pc screen as they haven't them to me get but they are out there on the net.

This fashion shoot was for COS AW23 Outerwear, whatever that is.The Cos autumn/winter 2023 collection, debuted at New York Fashion Week, features staple pieces that are considered foundations of a modern capsule wardrobe, crafted with the intention to last.

For some reason Derek, when i saw your caravan i thought of the film 'Snatch'.
And expected to see Brad Pitt coming out shouting a dodgy Irish accent.

Used to do that sort of stuff back in the 80s. Someone should tell those models to cheer up. This is one of price Andrews girls circa 84, around the time of Koo Stark.

Dungeness is a funny old place, tea room, little steam train, lighthouse, pub.

I could understand it not raising a smile on a cold and windy day,

you should try going when its foggy...
road? sea? what the hell is that looming in the mist, oh sorry this is your garden, nice bulldozer mate, not moved since 1965, yeah looks like it etc etc.

Unique, it's bit like being on another planet

Love Dungeness, I was there last year it’s almost like being out in desert on a hot day.
