727 gearbox

The front port is the oil from the converter out going to the cooler, and the rear port is the return from the cooler going in to the lube circuit.



Size of thread in gearbox casing is 1/8 NPT

The factory oil lines are 5&#8260;16-inch pipe

If you ever have the box apart, drill a 2mm hole through the case just inside of that rear return port from the cooler. This will oil the back of the overrunning clutch, keeping it cooler and stopping it from wearing into the back of the case.

If the overrunning clutch ever fails your transmission will explode.
