So, I changed the coil, plugs, rebuilt the carb, swapped the carb for new 'mystery 'Holley. None of this really stopped an irritating loss of midrange power. Thats when I leaned under the bed, pulled out the brand new accel leads i'd been 'meaning to fit'.
Cured!
Tickover jumped from 750-900, acceleration became fast, mpg much better. Now if only i'd done that first as Alex and Steve suggested...
I love my Dodge again!
