Re: Floyd Brothers 70 Challenger

Before we lop ‘em off, does anyone know if these tabs are meant to be left on for any reason? :-k I’m guessing they are just where they are suspended for dipping or something, as I don’t recall the old skin having them and I’m sure they would foul the glass.

Just want to check if I’m missing ...

Re: Floyd Brothers 70 Challenger

Thank’s Mark

Unfortunately, another step back yesterday. The intention for the trunk was just to wire wheel it back, quick patch of a couple of known areas, treat it and and paint it.

Not to be, once we got through all the grot and saw what we are working with. That’ll be a new trunk floor on ...

Im guessing not too dissimilar to the price of a Holley electric pump, good job you decided against EFI if a mech pump seems ouchy :D

Re: Fuel line replacement

Couldn’t agree more with Blue, if lower performance, a mech pump is good enough. They supply enough fuel, easy to fit, very quiet & generally hassle free
The drone of an electric pump, especially one dead heading soon wears thin….

Re: Fuel line replacement

Fuel supply is dependant in engine needs, as said you need to check on chosen EFI requirement. As a minimum for EFI, I would be looking at 3/8” supply & return.

I actually had to increase my return line size, as it was becoming a restrictor and took over from the regulator. That said, I have a ...

The scary thing is the cam sprocket is aluminium and nylon !
I had a 318 Mopar years back, that also had the same type of Cam sprocket. I wondered why it wouldn’t start one day. Found it had striped a couple of the nylon teeth. New chain & steel socket fixed that problem

Grace is my mate Colin’s daughter, she’s a very talented fabricator & welder. Loves her car & racing, she used to do the clutch in one of the funny cars, but mainly crews for Don these days

Re: big block to go in ashley's zephyr

Headers are a strange thing to fab for me, never sure how I’m going to do it, then I decide, then half way through I find a better idea, then again I will make another change. I’m generally happy at the end :D

As you say, once the steering side is done, the other side always seems a breeze ...

BUGGER!!! the timing set is boxed wrong. part number's right on the box so i can't blame the 'picker' at rock auto, but this small block chevy timing set just won't fit the ford fe engine :(
i just ordered a replacement, this ones an edelbrock true roller set on 'clearance' so actually cheaper ...
