Up & running , appart from tuning the 3 circuit dommi   , all's well , Bob's got some footage , waiting on the video. :D

Had a few problems with the oil sender/spray bar lines , just relieved the rear main was'nt the problem. :help:

Was a bitch to build.........a bitch to button up.............. should of known it would be a bitch till the end.

All's good now & sounds the biz , even though the timing gear set sounds like a blower. 8-)

Bit concerned regarding oil pressure , maybe down to the spray bar restrictors so will check it out , water temp is good (160*) , timing set to 20 initial/static , 34* total , this is a baseline till i run the motor & fine tune.

Set the lash 0.015 intake/0.017 ex (hot 0.20 intake/.022 ex) , no problems , will check when warm & adjust if necessary.

Good news Adam, guessed you may have had a few problems but glad it's up and running. I want one of those gear drives just for the sound.

Oil was pi$$ing out over the floor , thought maybe rear main   , turns out the brass fitting off the rear main gallery was split , took it out & it snapped clean off in the block   , managed to work it out the block & luckily had a replacement.

Blimey!

How did you get access to it? Engine or 'box?

Glad you have fixed it; just as well there was no break-in to worry about....

Was the oil sender tapping Pete , still a b$tch to get @ as the spray bars utilize the same tapping..............gotta start getting some good luck soon.

Used 15/30 diesel oil to fire up , will cut filter open & refill with 20/50 Kendalls , will monitor oil pressure & go from there.

0.002" on mains & rods , so thinking the spray bars are the problem , might need the restrictors changing out.

25psi @ idle/60psi @ 2500 rpm...............i know the rule of thumb (10 psi per 1000 rpm) , but this motor has tight clearances on mains & rods , maybe the 15/30 wt oil is'nt helping but this was cold , would like to see more regardless of rule of thumb (mopar bible) , so will fill with 20/50 & check spray bars.

When the motor warms up (lash taken up) , the oil pressure climbs , think the lifters maybe the problem (pushrod oiling although rods not drilled) as this is what's bleeding down coupled with the spray bars for valve train oiling.

What you thinkin Dunc?
