Can't take all the credit for this , had a chat with Dave Billydooos regarding this.

Considering he did'nt build this engine (as he normally does) , he took the time to talk to me regards the oiling issues , top man. ;)

Finally found what lifters are in there (comp) , gave them a ring & told them i've plugged off oil way in lifter facing lifter gallery , they said it woulkd be fine although the wrong lifters have been used.

Fired her up & got 70psi @ idle (1000rpm) , bit better than 12psi before lifter mod.

:D

Oil pressure sits around 60psi hot (20/50) , increases to 75psi @ 3500rpm , so all good , few issues with the 3 circuit domi :banghead: , fitted Bobs 2 circuit & it revs like a stroked low deck  :D , gotta get NO Neck on the body work , fit the bonnet clips blah blah , will be out & about next weekend , hope it's dry weather.

Yea , thanks Dave. :thumbright:

Anyhows , timed the motor & it wants soooooooo much spark lead @i idle (30/35* ) , think this must be something to do with the speed of the flame front tryin to get accross the mahooosive dish on the pistons. :D :D

Think i'm gonna have to lock the advance curve out.......@ 35* initial & the motor spiked no sign of starter issues , good & clean out the tailpipes too , can rest a 50 pence piece on the motor @ idle , not bad considering the cam in this , got around 11" of vaccume too.

Bare in mind Steve , i did'nt choose my combo i inherited it , if it were down to me things would be different , it certainly would'nt have those pistons in it......................BTW , i have dished pistons not domed , big difference , Bobs 440 in the Bee has domed pistons with a quench pad , 18* initial/35* total , quench is around .040".

You did'nt get slated Steve , just an opinion as to the reason you're motor needs so much spark lead , to which i still stand by. ;) :hello2:

Hey lighten up & stop bein soooooooo negative all the time. ;) :love3:
Lookin forward to yer stroker build , should be an informative one.
