I am refurbing the seats in my 70 Coronet and the plastic front seat backs are looking very war torn. Looks like years of Californian UV has started to break down the top of the seat backs. I have ordered a vinyl/plastic type paint to freshen up the seat parts and backs but was wondering if there was anything i should use to try to harden the brittle seat backs before painting.

Cheers Ivor,
I am fitting new seat covers all around, got them off ebag and they ended up coming from China but very pleased with them. It was just the seat backs i had concerns over. The top half are very brittle and you can scratch the plastic quite badly with only your finger nail.
I didn`t know if there was anything on the market to harden the plastic before spraying.
