Wow,what a hot topic.I am glad you all enjoyed the effort me,my family and Playboy put into the Nats last year.
I have been in discussions with the Nats committee for the last couple of months,and were the one who had to put Phil/Playboy into the picture.
Its a real shame that the official DVD did not include us,at all,we made 14 runs with the road runner,and entered the wheelie contest,but hey,thats another tale.
We have not fallen out with the committee,or Playboy TV chat,and still hope to do some sponsorship deal with Phil,on the new car,which is almost finished.
The road runner is still wrapped,but we sold the 540ci motor to build a new one,which wont be out this year.

we didnt know that we couldnt make a dvd we got permission from santa pod all beit we should have asked the nats commitee we didnt know ,

we have never been involved with this event before and were not challenged filming the event but as soon as we were told we removed the dvd from sale , we were only looking to promote the event and get more interest in it ,
i think the message i recieved last year from videoman below shows that he thinks that we only make adult material , which is not the case www.bristolfilmstudios.com is our mainstream film company

I'm sure it will be a very different DVD (ie soft porn? rather than our serious motor sport coverage). However, this would make it even more confusing for people seeing the two similarly titled products.

That is fair enough, you knew you could not sell videos. They have that clause on the flyer. Plain to see.

The way I see it.
Playboy made a DVD either by slight of hand or a misunderstanding.
It doesn't matter !
The DVD was withdrawn from sale as soon as Playboys mistake was made clear / plan was rumbled !
Fair ??? I think so

And the result of this ?
Playboy receive a ban from attending. BUT. It's fine for the Mopar Nats organisers to use Playboy material on their website to show how good last year was ? ( not including all the other clubs/ publications that jumped on the band wagon !)

Smacks of one rule for us and another rule for them to me.

The initial problem seems to have started AND ended at last year's Nats, so why a year later is it still an issue.

Holding a grudge?

Being stubborn?

IF the original issue was all sorted last year. Phil, his rig and the girls should be allowed to attend this year, always assuming he wants to after all this.

perhaps its time for a new Official DVD filmer?

My wife and I have no problem with our two kids (9yr old boy and 13yr old girl) seeing the girls wandering around. Our kids don't view the girls any differently to anyone else they see.

They're only people that are getting paid to do a job after all.

I really cant thank Tim. Jim etc for the massive effort they put into the event because it prob wouldnt happen without them, but most people would like playboy there again this year but for some reason they are not allowed (or thats how it comes across)
As we are all adults on here it would be good to know the true reasons so we can understand,
Is it
Legal reason ?
Videoman ?
Complaints ?
Any other ?
would be good to get a straight responce, so we can understand the real reasons and maybe understand.....please dont take this in a negative way Tim

we didnt do anything wrong our girls behaved and were covered .
they were asked for them to stay and give out trophies which they did there pictures are on the nats website so they could'nt have that much issue .why was dave b car completeley excluded from the video?
