You guys are nuts
......... that's why I like this forum
Seeing what some of you guys post on here with your rebuilds makes this thread a little tame I think as I am sure many of you have been here and done that already........... but anyway I shall continue to post some pics as much of the work is being done by my 24yr old son and I'm chuffed that he's getting into the Challenger more and more......
When we bought the car the guy also handed over one of those ABS dash covers. Initially we chucked it to the back of the garage as it looked awful and we thought that's going to be a real cr*p fit..... And then we saw the cost of a new dashpad, so we thought we'd give it a go as a temporary tart up..........this was the old cracked dash. Doesn't look to bad from this angle but there were some huge crevasses nearer the screen...

Well, the ABS cover took about 4 mins to slot into place as a trial fit to see how bad it was and it fitted beautifully
so out it came, he transferred over the speaker grille and back it went. We didn't use any glue and only needed some double sided sticky tape over the glovebox to keep the front lip nice and tight and there it was - job done. Ok, its still a cheap plastic cover and we've lost the vents and the badge but Joe Public don't know the difference from 3ft
