Just be warned. I got pulled with these on.
12 x 6 are allowed and with smaller font if the recess for the number plate is too small for EU/UK stamdard size. However, any extras like the message on the plate is illegal i.e 'Mopar or no car' etc..
And yes, I know some members have never been pulled etc..nor had I until I was!
Thats youre fault for living in a nice quiet peaceful part of the World where the feds have nothing better to do! Come to sunny Brum...they dont care as they are too busy filling out paperwork, and chasing street robbers, burglars and murderers....Mopar number plate Heaven
Pete, they didn't fine me. They actually pulled me over because they thoght my dash mounted Scanmaster was a speed camera detector which would have been a charge of peverson of justice!
They actually formally cautioned me for it! Once I explained what it was for they relaxed a lot more.
Incidentally, I then tracked down the ultimate sanction for non legal plates. You can have your car crushed!
Top fine £1000
I changed the plates.
Got mine from states plates but went for white at the front and yellow at the back as I thought they looked more authentic American but then im in a world of my own. Correct colour for the UK anyway if they get funny.

Never been pulled for them but it does pay to keep a UK set in the boot. Have been questioned at MOT time and rather than argue the toss it's easier to doff cap and apologise for the 'oversight'...
MilesnMiles - I'm surprised to hear you were pulled for a speed camera detector. AFAIK, they are legal in the UK. Both GPS and radar based detectors are legal and fine to use. It's only jammers that are illegal.
The logic being that a jammer is actually interfering with the police signal and therefore "perverting the course of justice" and 'detector' is not, it's just viewing the data. There was a test case a few years ago.
