Whats the score here, obviously you have to be a member of the SSR to show your car, so is it a first come first served for the acceptance tickets, not a free for all like Brooklands?

You don't have to be a member (I'm not), but this year they're doing a pre-entry system, and only 500 vehicles are being accepted, half in a draw in January, half in (I think) March... details here: http://surreystreetrodders.com/wheelsday/ - so email your car details and a photo quickly if you want to try to get in!

It's all because of the huge problems caused on the surrounding roads in the last couple of years, they're trying to keep the police and local council happy, and make it more manageable for their small number of volunteers.

Oh right I see thanks for the info. I heard they had big problems last year with a huge amount of visitors, thousands more than expected?

I didn't apply and won't be going to the show to see chosen cars that I've most likely seen many times before. The point of the just turn up on the day show was that new projects came out for the first time. As far as I'm concerned the show is now dead and they can stick it.
