Anyone genned up on what specific horrors or areas to check on a 65 Mustang FB?

I await Pete to say "The whole car, it's a Bananarama! box Ford..." :D

Did they have any known issues? All advice gratefully recieved, ta.

I bought Julie one, she preferred the Charger.
She thought the Mustang was "Sexually challenged"......

Cheaply made but timeless styling - a very pretty car.

They are very small inside, with crude steering. I think they still make every part known to man.

Rust is probably the single biggest concern.

Ta both, but I'm really after specifics. For instance, when we bought the Barracuda, I had no idea to check the top join of the C pillar, but now I know (learned the hard way... :lol: ) it's a notorious rust spot.

Any known notorious issues, please?

Pete, the size inside might just be an issue. How small a driving cell by comparison to a Barracuda?

Never actually set foot or arse in a Mustang, but could be going to view, so appreciate all comments. 8-) :thumbright:

The inner shock towers are prone to rust , and the floor behind the seats, and as well as the trunk and rear quarters ,from the cars I have seen that is the most common areas :thumbright:

I found a Mustang VERY narrow inside - I kept banging the crap out of my elbow on the door arm rest when I went to turn the steering wheel. It is a lot narrower than an "A" Body Barracuda - I know this as I kept both in the same narrow garage and the Mustang was a much better fit - for the garage not me!

You sit very low with your legs out so it puts weight on the base of your spine which all makes a long-ish drive tiring.

I'd go for a 70,nicer car all round. Shock towers not only rust,they fatigue and crack apart :shock:
