Anyone have Solicitor knowledge about Wills Please
Hi there, I was wondering (hopefully) that there might be someone on here that can advise me. My Wife's Father has just passed away and she has a stepmother (that hates her).... the step mother has a daughter with my father in law.... My wife (not because she wants any money, she would rather have her Dad back, any day) doesn't trust the step mother (nearly did time in her younger years for embezzlement) apparently she hasn't even shown her daughter the Will.. My wife would just like to know if she has any provisions made or more importantly her Father was a member of many Charities and if they have any entitlement she would like to know that they didn't loose out.... SO my question to you is.... How without being able to ask the step mother to see a copy of the Will ... and if Probate has not needed to be applied for how can we see a copy of the Will? Many thanks for your help/advise in advance

You need to find the solicitor who holds the will and ask firstly who is named as executor.
It's worth going to talk to a solicitor anyway, round here they give 1/2hour free advice, which may be enough.
