AA or RAC ?

RAC for me but like Dave it`s me thats insured and not any particular car or cars.
I can be in any vehicle, even as a passanger in someone elses car (so long as it`s within their said size limit) which is pretty generous........

Bad experience with the rac, they falsely diagnosed no or low compression on my Audi Quattro at the side of the road, caused a lot of worry! I had not long ago had an engine rebuild and was running quite a lot of turbo boost so feared the worst!
It turned of the compression was fine and it was just a plug change needed....
Now with AA and have had one third party recovery, but not much else to test yet.

My nephie's got a breakdown truck so I pay Bananarama! all for recovery
Seriously tho I got an RAC card too & it covers me, the member (and my member
) so I'm covered whatever I'm in, even if it ain't mine.
Best assistance I've ever experienced? BMW's own, incredible service on cars & bikes

Been with the A.A for years. I get free recovery through R.h insurance but have never used it so can't comment. Used the AA once for the Charger when the petrol pump siezed. Excellent service. Was kept upto speed with how long the recovery would take, recovery driver phoned me twice. Flat bed turned up within 45mins and took me home.I see it as peace of mind even for the one big trip down to the Nats. When I first joined the Rac wouldnt recover vehicles over a certain length.A.A all the way.

AA all the way!!! I've been with them for 15 years and I've worked for them for 4 years as a roadside patrol, so it may be me one day visiting you if you're in the central and northwest area. If your premiums are getting high pm me I can rejoin you via my vans computer at lastest offers when your renewal is due..
Rac can and do refuse to recover modified cars my friends tube chassis vanguard broke down 5 miles from his home and the rac refused to recover due to modified.... He's now with the aa

I assume they are much of a muchness - RAC for years this end, cover both wife and me for any vehicle. Its about £100.
I will say that although I never really use it, 2 years ago charger phutted to a halt and I needed recovery. Waited HOURS and they didnt show, dragged it home with a mate and a tow-rope in the end... Not a sterling recommendation but I reckon likely a one-off.
