..... a trip to York.

It was nice for them to roll out the Band, have the guard of Honour and a 21 Gun Salute for us; a very nice touch...........

...and they even had a "C" Body in dry dock awaiting a suspension overhaul..

This is the standard set up, I believe that there is an upgraded Handling Package available with stiffer springs and uprated shocks....

It WAS a great weekend away, if you have never visited York I can thoroughly recommend it - but NOT when the races are on....

I loved this Old Timer too...

Built in England to an American design for the Chinese.

Constructed as a lightweight to go over weak bridges, it was captured by the Japanese during WWII and then pressed back into service for 40 years after the war....

...and there was even a locomotive that had been "worked on" by one of Blue's distant relatives; though I think they had taken the lightening activities a bit too far..........

:) gotta love York. Wendy and I were lucky enough to be put up at The Royal York Hotel for a few days by one of our suppliers. Great weekend, trains, great Aleuts and spooky ghosts  it is a fascinating place.
