Pardon me for being daft Will, but what did you do to seal the join ? Where you spot welded it, next shot it is so clean it looks like a single pipe. Whats the middle bit of that process ?

As its stainless pipe and I have Tig welded with a stainless filler rod the welds can be sanded and polished out so are invisible.

I would guess that Will tigged the rest of the join to seal it, then dressed and polished the weld...either way, it looks pukka and I hope that top hose join at the water pump end survives any engine movement/vibration!
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

Keep going Will. You'll find out soon enough about that top hose vibration . I guess you could have done a short piece of rubber/silicone hose just as a connector but it would mess the look up I know.

I will have a short bit of hose when it arrives.

Looks great Will.

Looks like if required you could take another 2-3"s out of the top hard pipe, to help elongate the hose section. Would think a 6-8" length of hose would help to absorb any lateral and rotational movement between engine and rad.

Saying that.......I have seen some blown motors try to get up and walk out of the bay when revved..........torque straps? ;) :thumbright:

Provided the motor is solid mounted, that amount of hose should be sufficient, if not I think you need a longer section to avoid fracturing the neck on the radiator.
