Only a couple of shades off Guy...good by my standards :D

Just wanted to get a few layers of something on it to stop it rusting. It was the red primer or gloss black so the primer won in the end :thumbright:

Thanks men...to be honest, the low res pics make it look nicer than it is but I am happy with it. Just needs a little bit of fine fettling to finish.

Had a result with the screen....Kingsley at shipmycar has been very helpful and secured an insurance payment of just under £500 towards the £650 it cost to replace. Im happy with that....£150 is much easier to swallow than £650!!

Hi Dunc...I ticked the box for fully comprehensive marine insurance when I booked up, it was £37. Luckily, I had before and after photos and to be fair to Kingsley, he was very helpful with sorting it out for me. Took a few emails to prompt it along but got there in the end :thumbright:

It is good to see a happy ending Steve, it is worth insuring the transport and it is nice to see its result.

How easy was it to find the screen here.

Steve wrote:Thanks for the positive words men...Hi Mick....I have a normal sized garage attached to my house which is jammed full of tools and beer etc. Even if it was empty I would have no chance working on a car in it unfortunately. I rent a garage to store my Polara but that isnt suitable to work in as the tenancy agreement is just for storage. At least I get a suntan when I work on her (or frostbite  )

Had a relaxing couple of hours with the autosol couple of nights ago. Front bumper has come up lovely! Ive taken the headlamp surrounds out for a coat of satin black as the original finish is very worn.

While I was under there, I noticed that the front valance has a few parking dings on it so I stripped it out today. Ive knocked the various bumps out and started stripping it down for a thin skim of filler and paint. Im concentrating on the bodywork while the nights are still light.

Cheers Steve :thumbright:
