Andromeda

Post by morgan »

Saw an interesting car today. Well, interesting engine anyways. Hot rod T with a blown 426 dick landy hemi - 'Andromeda'. Nick Butler car. Been around for years apparently. Friend is doing some work on it so i will get some pics this week. Still think it would sit better in my ol' charger... :)

Saw it at the NEC behind the MMA stand one year.

I don't think its got a neutral cut out switch because when he started it it went back at a rate of knots, only quick thinking by someone avoided a nasty accident.

Didnt it start off as a C cab years ago on the Custom Car show circuit start of the 80s?
MOPAR - Move Over Power Arriving Rapidly

Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My Mopar upon you

No that was Nick Butlers other car "Revenge". Both cars remain pretty much as they were built back in the '70's, tucked away for many years they appear every once in a while. They were so far ahead of everything else in style and execution at the time, true works of art.

I'm sure I've got old Custom Car magazines with both cars in somewhere - will look them out...

(Always loved 'Revenge' - wasn't it also called Nickelodeon at one point, or was that another car?)

I remember the name Nickelodeon, but I've long since forgotten what it was...

Pretty sure that Nickelodean was NB 1st T, with I think Olds or Pontiac power, long time ago :D :D

Andromeda has been owned by Ed Brown for the last few years, I know he advertised it recently, but not sure if it sold or not ?

I remember that, we were standing a few feet away from it, he leant in and started it, as soon as it fired it was off, luckily the hall was pretty much cleared out, he stopped it inches before it went through the restaurant.

I always thought it had a Daimler Hemi motor?
