Just to remind about this event, I went to the O2 in January, and it was actually pretty good, if you are a fan of the films.
Even if you aren't, I bet there are some younger family members who are, and would love the day out.

it is touring Europe but back in the UK in April and May but not for many dates, 3 at each venue.

Newcastle April 6th – 8th
Manchester April 13th – 16th
Birmingham April 20th – 22nd
Sheffield April 27th – 29th
Belfast May 4th – 6th
Glasgow May 11th -13th

I've done a little write up for Connected so that should hopefully be out before the UK show dates.
I won't spoil it too much but its a fun day out and some excellent special effects.
Quite hard to take pictures though.

its a great show. the projectors for the back grounds are outstanding.

attention to detail on the cars is good too, and the drivers are spot on,

although i'm a little biased I supplied most of the American cars in it,
I was also involved in the building of them too,
and basically rewired all the electrics in doms charger.

I didn't realise you had that much involvement with it!
As you say the projected backdrops are brilliant, especially when they tie in the tyre trails in the dust.
Maybe you need to write to the editor of Connected with a behind the scenes take on it.

yeah Matt. i've got a lot of time and effort invested in this,
the folks behind it i used to work with doing stunt shows 10 years ago,
ive kept in touch with them over the years and one day they said they needed an american car expert.
i still think it funny thought, multi millon pound production, all sponsored by universal studios.
and they get me the little guy from manchester to advise find all the cars.
i've really enjoyed helping them set it all up. not been easy thought,

heres a couple of piccys, but please dont post them outside of the forum, it could cause problems

the front end build on a safe charger.

and my take on charger headlamps, all the inner wings and front panel is chopped out so nothing to fix too,
so had to find something to fit and allow the headlamp doors to work,.... MKIII capri surronds and fittings did the job.
