Registering with DVLA

Post by David Murray »

I haven't registered a car since the new regs came in that exempt our older cars from MOT's, so was wondering what the score is with first time registration - MOT still required (as a one off maybe), or just complete the form and send off with the money?

Hi Dave,

Just download the form V112 from the DVLA site and send it off with your V55/5. They will then automatically MOT exempt it at the same time.

Yes I was very surprised at that part of it. Registering a car with an error on the title was a very different matter however :?
