Yes the hood pins are on the list for the next few days , also pins on the bootlid. There are no latches at all at the moment, although there are tapped plates on the fibreglass hood and bootlid to take the standard latches, which I wasn't necessarily expecting.

I am totally in awe at the standard and speed at which youve done this Matt. I really look forward to seeing it, hopefully at the Nats.
Be nice to get the two Trans Am cars together, I might have to do ALOT of polishing though. Mine definitely has the raced look now, 5 years use taking its toll.

Hi Matt,
Yes it'll be at the Nats - would indeed be good to get them together !
Yes the build has gone quite quickly but I've had a fair amount of help with it, and also spent the previous four months planning and ordering parts, so that everything was on hand (mostly !)
Been spending hours fitting up the trim etc. AMD rear bumper appears to be about 10mm narrower than factory. Square shanks on bumper bolts initially too big to locate in bumper holes. Reproduction door top mouldings quite good, but had to fabricate all the retaining clips, which took a few hours. I hate fitting the screen reveal mouldings - such a large risk of taking chunks out of the paint - it went OK though.
AAR spoiler nice quality and good fit.
Not sure yet where I can mount the front/rear tow loops without cutting the body about. Have to give that a bit more thought.
Drawing up the stickers/livery at the moment, although it'll almost be a shame to put them on - the car looks quite classy just in the plain blue.

Not sure if your bonnet is fibreglass but make sure the front bonnet pin are far enough forward.
My charger bonnet / fibreglass has its front bonnet pins on the original bonnet hight bump stops and at 50mph it’s flexing up and I’m just waiting for it to snap in half
Love this car I want it !
