phew! that was close..... i nearly had to buy a mk2 consul gasser this morning. luckily it sold for more than i was willing to bid. it was the old 'high on gas' car from the ashford kent area (invicta roadsters car?) so some may remember it?

back onto the monza axle today, we cut all of the factory 5 link brackets off and cleaned up the axle tubes. now it's ready for the caliper, 'new' 5 link and coilover brackets. :thumbright:

today we made the caliper brackets for the opel monza axle. first a cad template was cut. then transferred to 12mm steel plate along with a pair of flitch plates to stiffen them more. with these all cut we tacked them in place. all we need to do now is fully weld them. the flitch plates were added as it's tight to get to the backside of the brackets for welding. so the best solution was to add the bracing for belt 'and' braces support. the bleed nipples are swapped to the flexi holes in the caliper so that they are now at the highest point for bleeding. :thumbright:

thenks, they're a bit belt and braces but better too strong than not strong enough. it's brakes after all so..... :thumbright:
