Best way to paint your motor is, paint it all individually, then assemble, then paint again, they did mask up some bits plugs, heater pipes and I don't think the fuel pump was painted, Paul 500 knows exactly what was painted and not, but looking good :thumbright:

Hi Roger,

From the piccy's it looks like you have the 70 hemi oilpan there!
Its more likely that you actually have the '402' hp pan?

Sweet looking as always, with everthing you do!

Bacca.

Im edging ever nearer getting the engine in.

After much messing about with aircon parts, some help from Steve, and many hours on the interweb, i think im getting somewhere.

I "think" i have established all the parts im missing and all are ordered/coming etc.

Ive finally fitted the correct brake lines. The downside was i originally ordered the wrong set originally, so had to buy another set. Really ought to sell the others. All stainless stuff.

And finally also got my "hose" tidy clip.Didn't notice i was missing this until the servo was on, so had to pull it away from the bulkhead to get it fitted  Nothing like doing stuff twice.

Mmmm, missed the servo when dusting!

And a few shots of the engine and gearbox all together on a trolley ready to fit.

Knocked up the trolly today out of some bits of steel I had lying around. Sadly, the front castors tyres are a bit soft so it takes some persausion to get it rolling! Still, it will have to do.

A lot more parts still to be fitted though, including the stuff ive ordered before it can actually go in.

The engine is nearly ready for installation, but as ever, i have discovered a number of parts that i need!

So while we wait for them to come, ive cracked on with some other stuff. Sorted out all the wiring in the engine bay along with a few other minor bits i hadn't finished, i decided to paint a couple of my wheels.

Would have done 4 , but have decided to go 8 inch all round rather than 10 at the rear, so the 10's are for sale.

Only in base coat so far though, so not shiny,

Can you take a picture of the battery side of the engine bay for me so I can see how the vacuum hoses route and how they clip to the body please.
