Cheers Mark!
I'm starting an enforced break now to recover from my hernia op today so it was nice to accomplish something major before getting immobilised ;)

Mine was fine mate- in and out the same day :thumbright:
They can do some ops under local anaesthetic if you don't fancy going under.
Don't leave it too long- I had a 5 month wait for my op!
And clear your diary for a few days- no lifting, no driving for a week, off sick 4-8 weeks.
Good luck :thumbright:

No chance when you run your own firm, I'll have to be wheeled in on a stretcher! ;)

It's a repro, but looks the part. It's fitted with a gas burner and pretend coals but when it's lit, you'd hardly know!
Just got the surround and hearth to do when my belly's better.

I have 3 Big Strong Boys comin round tomorrow so we'll have the motor out and flywheel off no bother!

I've made the torque strap today, nice easy job! I'll fit it when we've pulled the motor out.

I also put another 2mm spacer behind the w/pump pulley, thats now lined up perfect.

As usual, I had my little helper... ;)

are you going to put a strap inside the car to connect up that middle cross member....?

used to be a swaged 2 inch wide loop there inside the tunnel....

the gear box rear support bolts on but doesn't provide the same kinda structural integrity thats needed for a car that goes round corners

or so i have been lead to believe

as has been said on here plenty of people don't put anything back once thats been cut out, and with no detriment, however i'm inclined to think as the torsion bars have their foundation within 6 inches of here that chrylser wouldn't have wasted a bit of metal if it wasn't necessary.....although your motor plate will add some anti bend properties to your frame rails you have also lost your K member.......
