Well i've had it a couple or 3 years now, i guess i should share some pics


Some of you will know that Andy Neal bought the car in NY State where it was fitted with a Hemi/ Lenco setup. Before completion, Andy took the lot out to stick in another car and the car was sold to Hugh and shipped over here. He kept it for a while but changed his plans and sold it to me in April '04.
I started looking around for a motor and got the very sweet 360 out of Pete Wiseman's Sox Barracuda.
Around this time i got in touch with Andy to get some more info on the car and he sold me a 727 auto.
Since then i've stripped the trim & interior and cleaned up what little rust there is and bothered Andy for a helluva lot more help with choosing & sourcing parts in the States.

These are the race front struts. So far i've stripped and cleaned em up....plan is to retain the structure, Trev has offered to remake the arms, i have to come up with a new way of mounting the shock-top to the frame as the present flimsy bearing won't stand road use.
I also have chunkier discs & calipers on the way.

The bodywork is superb, there's lots of scratches & chips in the paint though which have allowed surface rust to start so i been at it wiv me Dremmel and sanding discs, followed by rust killer & etch primer.
My car port roof leaked and water got under the seam sealer in the gutters, had to carefully grind that out too.
It'll be a while before it gets painted so hopefully this should keep it at bay til then.
The worst bits are the rear arches which have been previously filled and the floor which is pretty thin in places. I've a couple of front pans on the way to sort that out, that'll be 1st job in the spring!

The floors were tricky-
Andy had chopped out the trans tunnel to make space for the Lenco. Luckily he'd kept (some of) the pieces.
Unluckily the floor was weak around the hole and the manual shifter mount wasn't original so a bit of patching was required

hey b1 bri got the big strange front brakes off that hugh sold them him, think the dana rear end came out and ended up under the dart hugh was gutted it had the little axle and wheels on it,

I didn't know about the brakes Dunc but i remember Hugh whingin about the Dana!!
Andy's pointed me at S&W- have a 4-linked 9" on the way

UPDATE...

Sorry it's been a while

Finished me floor!!! (Apart from welding underneath) " new panels and a few home-made bits welded in & zinc painted.
I've rust-killed inside the doors, zinc-painted & waxoyled.
I've stripped the old paint off the roll-cage, gonna paint it silver now. Also prepped the upper inner door bits cos they'd been painted a dark burgundy, i'll get those back to original.

Those floors look excellent, certainly strong enough!

Cheers Ivor, they were a pretty good fit luckily, just had to cut around the shifter hump and do a bit of tweaking. Shame they don't do the sections long enough to reach the bulkhead seam- i had to make that bit and copy the grooves- patience ran out a couple o times there i can tell ya!
I've left about 1/2" overlap all round so when i get it up on my mates lift i'll seam weld underneath too. Should outlast the rast of the car then

The fronts are proper Cragar, the rears are one piece forged ally, made by Weld under licence to Cragar.
I got 'em from a place on Ebay.com but they've stopped doing 'em now.

Thanks Stroker- they're hopefully rust-proof, thats the important bit
