Well here's the finished bulkhead folks, and my lovely new cowl hood
I have to say i wasn't too sure i was even going to like it! I have to have a hump of some sort and i knew i didn't want a forward opening scoop so this was the only option really.
Luckily i absolutely LOVE it! I think it really sets off the front of the car just right.

Got a bit more done today- the interior's pretty much finished now

Had some real fiddly business to get the rear belts to fit under the parcel shelf and run out smoothly. Every adjustment i made i had to drag the seats out of the car- a right pig with the cage in the way!

The front seats are a helluva tight fit between the door bars, the vinyl is splitting where it rubs. I've just found the seat fouls the seatbelt spool when in it's proper position. I'll have to remount it further back.

I've fitted a race harness for me, the shoulder straps mount on a removeable crossbar. I'm not sure what to mount the crotch strap to- the floor in front of the seat is too far forward so either the floor behind or the same point on the removeable crossbar.
I'll finish the belt mounting tomorrow and fit the door step trims and some other bits.

Looks good, those wheels and tyres will slow you down a lot though.

Maybe personal preferance, but howcome you left the cage silver/grey.
I'd of thought painting it body colour would of blended it in to the rest of what is becoming a very good car......

The cage was pillar-box red when i got the car
I'm sure it would look good body-colour Dave, but i like the contrast against the interior.
There's a 2" ally trim that runs the length of the car and a LOT of stainless trim. That will tie the silver/ maroon theme in nicely.
It (hopefully) looks better in the flesh

yep the cowl looks the danglies matey, the cragars really suit it as well i also like it without the front bumper

This is how i got the rear seatbelt spools mounted- under the parcel shelf. I had to bend the seat frame slightly as when i sat back on it, it pinched the belt. It recoils fine now and the slot is almost completely hidden.
Spent yesterday fitting the 4 hood pins and started drilling for the 'Plymouth' lettering. A right fiddle but worth the time to get all spot-on i think. Luckily Dale had left a couple of 'dimples' so i had clues for the first two letters!

Really coming alone nicely.
To Stop the seat back rubbing the roll cage why not use a ratchet strap around the seat frame and small bit of force with a rubber mallet and bend the seat frame a bit till it clears.

Ahhh okay, see where your coming from regards all the trim, and too much red!

Maybe just the photo angle! Not that you should pay any attention to the crap i come out with anyway!

I'm not sure whether i can bend the seat- it's the mounting arm that fouls the cage. If i change it's angle at all the seat back won't locate properly. I'll take a look today and see if i can try it.
I did try spreading the cage bars a few years ago with a 4 ton farm jack but i broke the jack

Cut the mounting arm of the back rest above the lock and then move it inward enough to clear cage and weld in a joining piece and job done.

Thanks for the input mate, I think for now i'll just make everyone climb over
When i have time i might strip the seat down and shorten the whole frame 1/2"
