That's nice, though I'm still trying to work out how he did the "body off" restoration.

All that effort and he didnt even do a proper job of his bulkhead. Sticks out like a sore thumb

OK Steve, I'll let you know!
Nice EBay car, agree there are a few minor details (also see missing rad blackout, overpainted hood latch spring etc) but to be honest it looks like a nice car, there will always be something to improve! (Including on mine when it's done, I've had to make some compromises along the way).
I can't quite make out whats going on in the trunk - the wheelwells etc have not been painted the new (PP) body colour, but they don't appear to be the 'original' colour either....unless it was low key and doesn't come up in the pictures. Just interested as to exactly what extent the 'body off' resto was done.

Yep, the ebay car looks like it was finished in a hurry....shame really, a little more effort and that would have been a belter.
So Gav, can we reserve a car park space for you at the 2008 Nats?

Thanks Rob, yes the whole baby thing has taken up a lot of time over the last few years (no not the actual making them

seeing all the specialists) it's been a longer haul than the car! And a lot more stressful too!
Anyway, right now I'm thinking that any kind of predictions on the car ETA would be a mistake, I'm having difficulty just writing about it!
But I am getting impatient, I really do want to drive this thing!!

Well.........let's just say that the last few months have been babies babies babies!! Not surprising really but it does mean I have had almost NO time to spend on the car
Having said that in the first weeks I did sneak a bit of time to finish off the headlamp wiring and installation. when I tested them it felt like there was some life finally in the car for the first time in a long time!!
Also this weekend I am getting a treat! Wife and kids going to stay with in-laws for four days so I am going to immerse myself in the car. It means I'll miss Brooklands but I need to use every minute! It will be the first time they've been away!
So I hope to make progress.
I really MUST post the updates I said I would, there is some more to show since I last posted, just none recently.
