Here's my regulator I made after reading another thread.

Although, I went inside to get my camera and came out to find some bird getting involved and messing things right up :shock: :lol: :lol: :lol:

How much does it cost for the transistor and capacitor these days? A Quid?

Transistor £0.79
Capacitor £0.09
Aluminium Heat Sink £3.00

13 Year old son pointing out (after purchase) that all these bits are free in the old gate control panels we scrap.....................PRICELESS!!!! #-o :lol:

Still, those old control panels have gotta be scrap for a reason, right?

Heat sink is easy to make from a few scraps of aluminium. You can even cut up a coke can.
