How much does it cost for the transistor and capacitor these days? A Quid?

Transistor £0.79
Capacitor £0.09
Aluminium Heat Sink £3.00

13 Year old son pointing out (after purchase) that all these bits are free in the old gate control panels we scrap.....................PRICELESS!!!!

Still, those old control panels have gotta be scrap for a reason, right?

Heat sink is easy to make from a few scraps of aluminium. You can even cut up a coke can.
