Not used that particular one but I've used the Dupli color version. It's basically a see through tinted lacquer that's not high gloss, looks fine on smaller items but like most aerosols it's probably not great for larger flat items.

Can only find Dupli Color in US or available here with ridiculous postage costs. I haven’t used either, but didn’t seem much difference to me, when comparing Dupli v VHTTIB3300 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 21 6:33 ammopar_mark wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 21 10:03 pmBily sells it

Hi Blue
The "Dupli-color METALCAST" looks nice . Is this what you used?
Re: VHT Red Anodised spray paint, anyone tried it?
Yes thats what I am coming up with US only. It does seem that the Dupli-Color is shiner then the VHT though.mopar_mark wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 21 9:20 pmCan only find Dupli Color in US or available here with ridiculous postage costs. Yes its Metalcast I've used. Not found a UK supplier, even Dupli color UK don't list it. I used to get it via a US website that sent to the UK at very reasonable rates. Unfortunately, having searched for that site since has brought up nothing. I used to use it to tint headlights.

Re: VHT Red Anodised spray paint, anyone tried it?
Right I was expecting it to come out mat, nope came out quite shiny.
Anyhow here's my little experiment, using the STP can to try it on, first Silver plasti koat first then the red.
The problem is it come out way too heavy and thick, so it just looks like shiny red paint and not like the can top.
So I have a cunning plan.
Ive have let all the gas out of the VHT spray can and I am going take the paint out and to apply it with the spray gun, once thinned down.
I've already do a test by squirting some in the cap and thinning it with a good result and no reacting.
I can then control the thinness and the speed

Well you get a lot better controle once thinned and use a spray gun, used the same engine silver,
But thined the red by 70/ 30
