Popped up to the NEC on Friday for our usual day visit - more ££ but worth it in my mind as its a fair bit quieter than the weekend. Also took a chance on the car park barriers being up by the time we left, good job we did as it was £18.95 to park for the day!! Does anyone actually pay that??
Stopped off at the MMA stand first, as it was close to the entrance to Hall 5 and had a quick chat with Bob (orange Challenger) 'Scotty' Dave and MOCGB head-honcho Roy Matt was elsewhere that morning but we did bump into him and Jack later in the afternoon.
Matt and Bob did a fantastic job dressing the stand with MMA and Challenger signage etc. Hopefully next year we'll have room for at least one more car...
Oh and congrats to Geoff & Jan Mitchell for scooping the Classic American Car Of The Year award for their '61 Chrysler Newport (pictured below)
Thanks for the pics Rob, some fantastic looking cars there, Matt and Bob’s cars look great with just enough around them so that it didn’t look cluttered . Well done to Geoff for winning Classic American award, well deserved. well done to all MMA members that made the trip there to support their club.
Are we there yet dad ..... 10 to the gallon but worth it.

Thanks Derek, yes it's always a good show... well, we enjoy it
We saw Scott and family there... every time I saw him he was carrying more stuff they had bought
That brown / cream 40's Dodge pickup is a Durango underneath. Has a modern Magnum engine and period interior.
Nice conversion. Sold for around £17k IIRC.
we went Saturday, bonus is the extra hour, it did get busy in the middle of the day, but maybe not quite as busy as previous years??
The MMA cars looked great and always good to have a catch up with Dave
and thanks for the photos from the inner sanctum, I’m too tight to cough up £20 for an auction catalogue so had to make do with a walk round the outside.

If you don't want another same old brand-new car ... you could be DODGE MATERIAL
Hi Simon
Yes, we normally make do with a walk around the perimeter of the auction but last year we got chatting to the woman on the desk who has twin daughters, so had some twinny talk for 5 mins or so and she remembered us this year so let us in for nothing
Outstanding pics as always; really enjoyed participating in this year's Show--great catching up with fellow club members as they stopped by the MMA stand. Hats off to both Dave and Matt who did the lion share of prepping the MMA stand ; I'm sure we encouraged a few more MOPAR enthusiasts to join the club!
