torsion bar removal

Provided they aren't siezed in, removing the strut rod nut and the nut on the lower control arm at the K frame and then carefully knocking the control arm stud rearwards will normally push the torsion bar out at the back. This is the only method I have ever used and it's worked every time so far. If you were making a clamp on type of drift it would need to be very tight but not damage the bar as this can cause them to fail.

If you are replacing them just MoleVice them up and whack the bananarama! out of them!

I use the same method as Blue, works a charm, remember to pull the retaining clip from the back of bar before you try to drive it out !
