Yes a lot of work including full thru the dash cage including strip and refit of dash, supply and fit of relocation kit including pinion angle reset and the axle centring, painting of cage transmission work and kick down linkage all reset ect. New rear brake lines, complete braking system service as they were very dangerous.

Same work at any other chassis shop with welding to the same standard ect would of be easily 3k, Jon used club discount to full advantage.

Great Dart. Love the colour , stance etc. looks ready to race.
As for Pete's work. Quality at a good price in my opinion.

Probably not....was in 1989 and done by a fellow Drag Racer who had a Garage business........as I said, times change!

thats great work there and sure a few members will be having stuff done now they have seen what you can do Pete. Car coming on a treat. Wou,ld look good with some period racing seats and the carpet back out in my opinion...

Amazing how times and prices change.......I got the '69 Cuda back halved, floor cut out, new chassis put in, axle narrowed, ladder bars made, all the joints, brackets, cage, front motor plate, tubs, f/well headers made for £1000!!!...but I did help with the Tin work!

Pete was great to deal with, there were a good number of other bits he did to sort out the car as well. I would use him again in a heart beat!

Having someone you can trust with your car is priceless. And I would (and did) chuck him the keys for 6 weeks while I was out of the country with work.

Done a few more bits to the car.
Replaced the sump, replaced the exhaust gaskets, inlet gaskets and valley gasket (which was leaking). Also replaced the alternator with the help of those on here.

Hope to use the car a bit tomorrow.

Wheels have now changed, the drag wheels on the front which were about 125/75/15's were lethal in the dry> In the wet. Forget living.

New 215/60/15's and 7 inch steelies bought from a member on here (brand new)

So Pete from Chassis Tec has worked his magic on the car again

The car is now mini tubbed (originals moved inwards), harness hoops fitted to the harness bar on the cage (to stop them flapping around) and the climbing frame has been extended in to the engine bay. Also the tranny cooler has been moved in front of the rad to get some fresh air.
