I'm amazed that you guys on either side of the argument actually believe any of the toss the politicks are trotting out.
The ONLY thing Cameron and his pet monkey give a crap about is their ego, and whether this will affect theirs and their friends money.
Salmon is ALSO a politician and therefore doesn't give a damn about anything but his wallet and his ego. Does anyone seriously believe he's any different?

NOBODY knows how a yes vote will affect people. There are NO facts at this stage, only biased guesses. On BOTH sides.

THE ONLY things you can be sure of are:
Some things will be better.
Some things will be worse.
Some folk will be better off.
Some folk won't.

It's purely down to whether the voters hate the current situation enough to take a chance.
It's just a toss of a coin.
Good luck ;)
Been saying this for the last few weeks.......

Also agree at the end of the day its all P.......Bolitics so 99% BS!

I'm just hoping it's a yes vote. Then the Labour party will never again win a majority in government so avoiding massive public borrowing and this country being effectively bankrupted yet again.

There is a lot of ignorant comments here that are based purely on what they want to believe and not on any facts what-so-ever.

No. Scottish votes almost never make any difference
to the outcome of UK elections, and when they do it’s a
very small and short-lived one. Scottish independence
will NOT condemn the rest of the UK to permanent
Conservative governments - almost every Labour
government since WW2 would still have had a comfortable majority without any Scottish votes.
(For example, in 1997 Labour would still have had a
huge majority of 139 seats if all Scottish votes had been
removed. Even in 2005 it would have had a comfortable
majority of 43 seats without Scottish votes, rather than
the 66-seat majority it actually got.)

Nice to see some reasoning away from the Scaremongering of the UK Press.

Plus some manipulation thrown in for tonights debate, pathetic;

Outrage! My daughter is attending the Big Debate aired tonight on bbc1. 16-17 year olds all debating on the referendum. She has just texted me to say they were asked to say they were No or undecided because the Yes voters were outweighing the No's. Thankfully Niamh told them to Bananarama! Off. Absolutely shocking corrupt media manipulation! Please share this, because no matter which way you are voting. Young people should not be manipulated in this manner!

Let's just say independence was as achieved , and Scotland was a wealthy little place where everyone was happy.
How would it defend itself ?
With a commodity such as oil I'm sure there will be a few not so nice countries waiting to invade.
How many troops does Scotland have ? At a guess I'd say 3 to 4 thousand ?
That would worry me ! :?

How does Norway defend itself? Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland and New Zealand for that matter?

:)

Not a problem Mossy- the Yanks would send drones in to 'accidentally' blow up a few ghettoes, terrify the locals and then kindly offer protection in exchange for numerous lucrative arms contracts.

Um? Sorry, wrong meeting

And while we're lowering the tone ;)

By sharing its commodities with friendly neighbouring countries in return for " support" should a crisis occur ! :D

Not sure how factual, but heard Scottish banks bring in more revenue than the Scottish oil.
I guess we won't have to prop up the Scottish banks if this goes ahead ?

Bananarama! was being sorted tomorrow.........not sure I can take the whining and moaning on every radio, TV channel or web site anymore! It's almost 24/7 on constant SPIN!

Big issue could be that apparently it's 50/50 at the mo, so there's a possibility that 49% of the Scottish population won't be happy with the outcome...........could be an interesting few months!

The thing about Scottish Nationalism is we are trying to make a change. We are taking pride in the things we are achieving or will achieve if we get Independence. About the last line, we have met the English. ;)

The picture really suits England well though. It has achieved nothing of note for the last 60 years apart from slowly but surely watch its empire crumble piece by piece. It is destroying itself from the inside out and is rotten to its political core. Scotland wants nothing to do With Trident nor do we wish to join the English in its warmongering. :)
