Personally (being parts Scots) I am really pleased that the country voted NO but I fear that Salmond will not be able to leave it alone. In his speech he said that "..for the moment, Scotland has voted to stay in the Union..."

I used to think he had integrity, I now just think he has watched Braveheart too many times........

As ever the voice of reason, Dave.

One of your few posts that I read from start to finish.

As I am old I cannot risk sparing the time to read most of your Posts, as none of us know how much time we have left on this earth......

Good to catch a glimpse of you at the HRDs ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Now Scotland all you can do is vote with us to get out of Europe, when and if we get the promised referendum, but I expect that would be rigged.

Yes true, you have to be residing in Scotland. So any English, Irish, or any other nationality who were living in Scotland would have had a vote. So not quite "Scotland decides" :D

and you too

i thought a futile act of genuine immaturity was pertinet

esepcially as nobody took a blind bit of notice of my post about the Barnett formula

and its today's hot topic.

anyway scotland still owes us the current equivelent of £400,000 from the Darien disaster in 1700

we bailed em out then and they came cap in hand to join the union...
which lead to inheriting a share in a massive empire, and all the wealth that brings....
lets not forget that they would still be making everything from wood and mud were it not for the financial equivelent of a 2 bedroom house in the Hounslow twickenham boarders, "nice road bit too near the recycling site for my liking but not in the catchment area of any school any time soon".

i rest my case

on a small strappy table thing between the bathroom wall and the mini bar in my hotel room etc
