Paul..... If it is sitting on carpet, get rid of it. You wand a nice clean floor, then wet it all before you paint to keep the dust down.

Thanks Jeff.
That's the plan, once the last bit of sanding is done I'll lift the carpet tiles, thoroughly clean & hoover what I can't take out, poly sheet the ceiling & walls and wet the flooor :thumbright:

You and me both mossy ;)

Cool.... Then all you need is air in, air out.... Some warmth, beer and food.

Have a great time, such an enjoyable thing, painting cars.... Have you sorted out the secondary colour? I know you were thinking met clack.

Not sure what clack is Jeff
Yeah met black is the plan, Ford Panther black to be exact. It quite a coarse metallic, it's a premixed colour so is nice n cheap!

Doug called last night and we started on the final block sanding.
He's impressed with my work so far :thumbright:
We've gone over most of it and only found 4 or 5 tiny imperfections.
He's going to sort the hood (thank f*** for that cos I'm done with it :? )

Fingers crossed and weather permitting, we could be painting in a couple of weeks... :D

Doug's been ill so I've had the girls helping with the promise of ice cream :thumbright:

All the guide coat is blocked, I've filled & sanded the few blemishes that showed up and spot-primered those and any break-throughs. I just need to smooth those, and Doug's coming tonight to get stuck into the hood.
We're aiming for painting on Saturday :D

Big step forward this evening- Doug primered the hood and we refitted the trunk lid and put the hood in place.
It's great to have the car all one colour for the first time
:D

The 'spray booth' is nearly ready :thumbright:

Hood is being troublesome as expected... not far off now though. I'm sooo glad Doug's doing this for me or it would be going back to matt black!
