Well it's all painted and lacquered and the colour is AMAZING :D

Sorry but no more pics until it's properly finished- rubbed down, polished and shiny bits back on.

It was a bit of a challenge doing it at home- despite our best efforts, there's a lot of dust to rub out of the lacquer, and a few runs due to Doug not being able to see the car through the fug of lacquer in the air!
During the night, the wind whipped up and tore my tent apart so I woke to a flapping tarp and rain-soaked hood :?
I didn't know how big a disaster this was til Doug arrived at 10-ish and said not to worry, whew!
So all-in-all it might not come out perfect but it's incredibly satisfying to have done it ourselves, at home.

I was 16 when I painted my first car.. It was in my parents front garden.

I learned then... Whenever you want to paint outside, it will get windy, and rain!

My first custom paint job was in my girlfriends parents house, in the back garden under a tarp, in the rain!

And my first Full Custom paint job was in my parents front garden again!
Full flake, and candy job..... When I was buffing it out, a guy drove past, staring at my car..... He then smashed into my next door neighbours Capri!

The police were there, they could not stop laughing! :thumb right:

Well done Paul, I know how difficult it can be to paint in less than ideal conditions.....

Well done.

I'm very lucky to know Doug mate. He's doing this purely out of friendship and just for the love of it. He's done a lot of 'guerrilla spraying' so he knows what you can get away with!
