That's well cool Drew. Just needs the fender louvres trim and pipes from the outside. I know neither for are correct for a 68. IMHO 69 is the year after 70 all the hp dropped then after 73 the bumpers went , that was the end of them for me. What's the motor 390hp or tri power?

The main thing as you know is having the provenance / history that it was originally a BB car. I think everything is there available to change a small block and make it a BB . Suspension / springs are all changeable. There is talk there are more BB early cars registered in USA than GM built. The plates may have the numbers but the blocks can be restamped or decked when rebuilt what ever to hide originality. I'm told that 1 of the things the cloners sometimes miss is changing the fuel line to the bigger diameter pipe for BB's from the tank. If you have any interesting nuggets you checked before you bought your safari yellow I'd be keen to share. That stroker should go as well and better than a 390 with less weight up front. Manuals are always more sought after, it looks a great car

Well I was told it was a BB but took that with a pinch of salt TBH
I think any little pointers towards it's original engine size would have been lost in it's mechanical rebuild.
I had a C2 BB and went through all the tell tale differences at that time but C3 obviously different...unbelievable that a chassis number is unable to tell
The car was cheap enough though, not it's original colour either.
I've had enough of building cars to exacting standards, I love a mint car but nut, bolt and washer perfect is not for me.
The car has a massive list of work done but all of it aftermarket...some good some not so good

Thanks to a very nice lady with an immaculate C3 at the AACUK, Martin has given up on them....it was a squeeze to say the least!!!
He has decided on the truck option and we are going to look at an 83 Ram next week. He is excited and will definitely be joining us here on the MMA as soon as he has his wheels!
Thanks for the phone advice Mossy, appreciate your knowledge on all things Ram and reassuring to know that the help will be online if he/ we need it. Keep you updated
Cheers Steve (and Martin):thumbright:
