We saw Riot at Port Vale FC in '81 supporting Motorhead and Ozzy. Also on the bill was Frank Marino and Triumph (and a token crappy NWOBHM band)
Apparently Black Sabbath were supposed to headline but pulled out, and Ozzy filled a slot at the last moment.

Excellent band - must revisit some of their stuff! (a bit like Teaze?)

Ha ha....yeah, I my pal Gregs favourite band and said they had been around for donkeys years. Will definately go again...they were excellent!

I started feeling old when a girl started at work a few years ago and didnt remember ABBA....then a guy started recently who had no idea who Dire Straits were. I said he must remember, they were huge in the late 70s and early 80s and then he promptly reminded me that he was born in 1995! Im sure I have pants older than that

Here's one for you chaps. A great album or band that are virtually unknown, got absolutely nowhere yet produced an awesome album.

Here's one that gets a regular blast on my death deck and features none other than Dr Brian Cox on keyboards.
