Challengers are wide!! Same as a Charger. Yes they are shorter. Depending on your definition of a standard size garage just be aware that with the car width, and the doors which are deep and long, getting in and out may not be trivial. I had mine for years in a (wider than normal) 11ft wide single garage and even that stored great but was very difficult to work on!! I wouldn't let any of that put you off, just getting the facts on the table....

Hiya. Welcome to the club. You're not far from me so if you ever want to pop over to swindon I can show you examples of a decent Abody, B and E bodies here locally as well.

Anyway it has to be A body that where the smart money goes .....but I'm biased.

Welcome aboard too, as for Car choice. Love the look of the E bods, but probably the worst handling out of the A,B, E range.
I once went on near 600 miles round trip in a stock 318 Challenger and felt sea sick most of the time

Unless you get stuck into Hoskitch suspension. Ade W (where is he these days?) has a well set up 440 Ebody that actually handles.

Thanks for all the replies and advise. An A body sounds like it would makes sense, but I'm being lead by the dream. So still interested in a Challenger, even if it's too wide and handles like a wheel barrow. I had a 72 Mustang convertible, can't be as bad as that!

I was looking at this one, but it seems expensive for a 73 dressed up as a 71 with a 318. What do you think?

Real T/A "s are big $s. 400 R/T's too, Add a six pack - into the clouds, Hemi - into the stratosphere..
The best advice if you can't have the real thing is buy a decent body
if you think speed kills don't get on a plane
