Finished the new panel And got it tacked in I'm pleased with the fit and it's nice to have that gaping hole filled up...

Very true, the workmanship is outstanding, my daughter in laws 3 series recently needed a sill and floor pan repair, so i thought i can do this, although haven't touched a mig in over 15 years, managed to borrow a GASLESS mig and started to practice, now i quickly realised 1 of two things, either i am so rusty and out of practice or gasless is rubbish.....it was bad, i ended up getting a local fabricator to sort for me...embarassing..
Never thought much of the gas less wire, could never get a decent weld with it, was an old spool mind. With my machine I have to swap the earth polarity to run gasless, I won't bother with that again it was yuck.Russ1971scamp wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 20 12:14 pmmanaged to borrow a GASLESS mig and started to practice, now i quickly realised 1 of two things, either i am so rusty and out of practice or gasless is rubbish.....it was bad
