went out early this morning, going to be a better day than sunday. Met a young man mid 20s at the local petrol station, knew it was a dart, Impressed, thought most young ones were into twin turbo jap nutter cars. Let him fire it up, he was well pleased. Went for a drive and then called in to the local chemist to pick up a script. Don't normally leave the car on the street in case some nutter keys it. Came back to see a woman in a black mini (not the skirt unfortunately) videoing it. Gave her the keys as well, she fired it up. Made her day, mine also. Still life in the old dog!
What a great story! Sounds like a fantastic morning all round
I'm really struggling to get E5 here now so I put a Jerry can of E10 in and went for a run to see if its OK. Seems to run fine at the moment. Been a day not to be missed!

out in my RT yesterday and today, always get loads of attention, specially in Tesco's gas station! well well cheaper than V Power and my car runs better on Momentum,
got accosted by a mad Irish chappy in Canterbury , "Dats an Amazing motor vehicle fella" did make me smile!
Well, so much for the weather forecast. Sunday was even nicer than Saturday. Great pics steve, must take my camera next time, don't have many pic of the car. Put £25 super unleaded from the local BP station. I'm sure it's just bog standard unleaded. Someone did bring this up in another post. Happy motoring.
Yeah, Sunday was a cracker! Would love to see some pics of your travels in the car. I don't go to many shows now so it's a great way for me to see other cars in the club that I wouldn't get to see otherwise (Pete, dying to see some pics of your new car!).
I'm into military history on a casual basis and like to explore old sites in the area. The second pic in my last post is at a place called Cairnhead. Its where the Mulberry Harbours were developed and storm tested prior to their widespread use in Normandy after the DDay landings. There is still plenty of evidence around if you get off the beaten track. This pic shows what it was like in 1943. I took the car pic from the road you can see on the right of it, looking out to sea
Great photos! Looks like a fantastic day out. The Challenger is looking superb as always.
I'm having to cut back a bit while fuel prices are so high. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for everything else going up in cost. I've been spending a few days just going through my fuel system to give the car the best possible chance of not being damaged by high ethanol fuel. I'm having to use E10 as I can't get anything else locally. Changed fuel filter, put an inline fuel shut off valve just before the pump so I can run the pump and carb dry if I park her up for any length of time, and a new fuel pump (one on it was the original!). Plenty of Frosts Ethomix in the fuel, should be OK to take me to the day they price us all out of the fossil fuel market!
Happy motoring
