Insurance

Post by gmopar59 »

Up again next weekend. Seems RH have a new broker 'Howdens'. Thet have contacted me but haven't got back to them. Expect it will be higher again. Who are the other companies you use? I know we have been here before, so sorry for the repeat.

I was with brenracre since owning the car,may well switch to classic line come renewal after the hassle and stress I had over the recent glass claim.
I know lots of people with classic line

Thanks David, I have heard of them. Think there are members who use them. Not heard of Classic line though. Will check them out. :salute:

It all got sorted in the end, the issue was more with auto windscreens who were the glass vendor however I had basically no support from Brenracre as they were "just the broker". They said they would help but when it came down to it they were unable to help.in any way at all.
However the stress it caused was unbelievable!

Cheers everyone. I have had 2 broken windscreens in my Mopar life. 1 around 1991 with the GTX. My fault, kneeled on it. Did find Peter Jones who sorted me out but the dart windscreen was a pain with the insurers, did get resolved in the end but took some time. :banghead:

Ive been with RH for years now and always deal with Tom there. Good as gold and no hassle at all wigh agreed value etc. I didnt realise that their policy is multi car and can include your daily driver too. Mine is due in May so will see how much it is to add my Merc. I also have my house insurance with them now.

I think Peter Jones has retired now. I imported a 72 New Yorker a few years ago and it arrived with a broken windscreen. He had one, the correct tint even, in stock and fitted for me at home. Shame hes not on the scene anymore
